Caspar Wren wrote the only published town history, in 2019. He has been in Morrowfen, on and off, since 2017, and lives at Willow Bend Caravan Park, plot 14, the year-round pitch. He is difficult to find. Pleasant when found.
On the parish
Mr Wren’s pamphlet is the only single-volume history of the town. It is short, careful, and contains three small errors of date which the Gazette has chosen not to correct, on the grounds that corrections should be requested by someone who has read the pamphlet carefully.
On the parish, cont.
Mr Wren was interviewed by Owen Pell in 2019, and was asked by Della Finch, in 2023, whether he had any source for his claim that the Seventh Drain was dug before 1826. He said he did not.
The pamphlet is kept in the Reading Room museum cabinet.
