Della Finch is meticulous, dry, and careful. She has a small, good-humoured contempt for vagueness. She is the youngest Chair the Drainage Committee has had, and the first to have published a careful article in the Gazette.
On drainage
Della is a part-time hydrology consultant for an Aingersby-based firm. She has, since 2022, taken a particular interest in the Seventh Drain, and is the author of the careful article comparing three published maps of it. She has not, so far, said anything in public about flow measurements.
The Drainage Committee has not, so far, said anything in public about the Seventh Drain at all.
On the parish
Della moved to Morrowfen in 2017, having grown up in Aingersby. Her grandfather was a Drainage Committee member in the 1950s and 1960s. She does not often speak about him.
On the Council
She finds the Parish Clerk infuriating. The Parish Clerk returns the compliment. They are, however, polite in writing.
Della’s article on the Seventh Drain is at the Gazette.
